Cool Apple Smoothie

Even though the weather is getting crispier and leaves are changing colour, I still prefer a cool smoothie and nothing says fall as much as apples and pumpkins. Using up every single apple from my beautiful apple tree is a task I handle every year. Smoothie is one of the ways I prefer because I don’t essentially need to add unhealthy stuffs to it to make it taste good!

This smoothie is rich in key nutrients and is an ideal drink for the health of digestive system. Tartaric acid and malic acid found in apple can inhibit fermentation and proliferation of bacteria in digestive tract whereas cucumber helps with the digestion of protein and carrot improves digestion.


¼ Cup of Carrots – Diced
½ Cup of Cucumber – Diced
1 Cup of Apple – Cored and diced
2 tbsp Lemon juice
1 Cup of Water


Put the vegetables and apple in the blender, top up with water and lemon juice, and then blitz until smooth.
