Candida Cure

WHAT IS CANDIDA?

Candida albicans is a single celled organism, related to moulds and fungi. Human body naturally carries this yeast like organism on mucous membranes of gastro intestinal tract.

CANDIDIASIS OR YEAST INFECTION

Candida is a highly opportunistic organism. The growth of Candida is normally kept in check by friendly bacteria in our gut and by healthy immune system. When these regulating factors are disrupted, the yeast multiplies. Occasional mild cases of thrush are common among women. The yeast takes the advantage of reduced immunity or destruction of friendly bacteria. Soon there are so many yeast and they can’t find food, so they grow a root like structure called rhizoid and burrow through the walls of intestinal mucosa in search of nutrients. This results in the ‘Leaky gut syndrome’. The faeces, toxins and macro molecules (especially proteins) slip through directly into the blood stream. This is where the real problems begin.

DIAGNOSING CANDIDIASIS OR YEAST INFECTION

Diagnosis of a candida yeast infection is very straightforward. Your doctor will perform an internal examination to detect any tenderness or any other problems. Your doctor will then take a swab of your vaginal discharge and analyze this swab under the microscope in order to rule out other possible infections, including trichomoniasis and other STDs.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DIAGNOSIS

After treatment your doctor will prescribe some antifungal medicines such as Miconazole, Tioconazole, Butoconazole or Clotrimazole. These antifungal medicines are available in the form of vaginal creams, vaginal suppositories (inserted with an applicator) and oral medications over the counter. With this treatment most candidal infections go away without further problems. In people with weakened immune systems, these infections can come back and become hard to treat. In this case NUTRITIONAL THERAPY is the best method to treat candidiasis or yeast infection.

WHY THE ANTIFUNGAL DRUGS DON’T WORK

The reason for this is its ability to survive without a cell membrane. Most drugs work by destroying the cell membrane only and yeast can live quite happily in cell wall deficient form, immune to effects of antifungal drugs. The drug may suppress their growth and functions, but soon as it is discontinued, they revert back to normal growth.

HOW TO TREAT YEAST INFECTION?

There is no quick solution; doctors/GPs in the past have treated people without much success with various antifungal medicines. It only serves to reduce/control the infection for a short while and fungus becomes active again once the medication is stopped. Every treatment should aim to uproot the fungus and eliminate it entirely from the body. As you might have understood by now this is not a quick process, it require patience and need to follow a strict regime for a period of time.

Following this principles, our treatment encompass 4-5 stages. Depending upon your situation and level of infection this may take up to 12 weeks. During this process we may ask you to carry out appropriate tests so that I can prescribe tailored treatment for you. I may prescribe supplements and herbal remedies as well. After you filled the initial questionnaire we will send you an info pack containing more information about our treatment procedure and a detailed report including your new diet plan.
